(FREQUENTLY UNASKED QUESTIONS)
These are the real questions you should be asking your wedding photog. Let’s go deep.
My number 1 goal is for my couples to be absolutely happy with their wedding day. If an unplugged wedding makes you happy, then I’m happy.
We all know some guests wants to capture moments of the “kiss” or “bride walking down the aisle” on their phone for their own personal memory or to share on IG. This doesn’t personally bother me at all. I’m there to capture those special moments but also care that your family and friends have an amazing experience. I can always run and jump between guests if I have to capture my shot.
Plugged or un-plugged, I’m a professional and will do whatever it takes to capture those magical moments.
Short answer: Professionally over 7 years, and I’ve been crashing weddings for the past 5 years.
I’ve assisted other professional photographers and also worked for a few large wedding photography studios when I first started. I don’t really keep count of how many weddings I’ve done so far, but I can guesstimate well over 250 weddings.
To put it plainly, the main reason you hire a professional photographer is not merely for their expensive professional equipment but for their experience, knowledge, and finished product.
Wedding photography comes with many various challenges from lighting situations, time constraints, and communication. These are things you as the Bride & Groom don’t need to worry about and its best to leave it to the professionals.
I seriously go above and beyond for my clients to capture those special candid moments and epic stylized photos. This comes in the form of pre-planning and working with my couples create the perfect game plan for the wedding day. We are also very well equipped for any lighting situation. On of our mottos is expect the unexpected. After photographing hundreds of weddings, we understand how important it is to be fully prepared for any situation and that is why we have back-ups upon back-ups.
This can vary depending on your wedding and what type of coverage you may need. Generally, I recommend 8 hours of coverage to capture everything from bride and groom prep, ceremony, and reception.
We also recommend that we have at least 2 hours prior to the ceremony for getting ready photos and first look/first touch.
This will depend on several factors such as budget, size of your wedding party, and venue locations.
Here are several reasons that we would recommend a second shooter:
The bride and groom are getting ready at different locations
Your bridal party consists of more than 20 people
Your guest count is more than 75 people
You want to ensure the reception details are captured before the guests arrive
You want more photos for your wedding gallery
The advantages of having a second photographer:
Allows the main photographer to focus on the most important parts of the wedding day
Assists the main photographer to capture all the wedding details such as candids and details
Assists the main photographer with their gear and lighting setup which helps the main photographer to be more creative
